“Art is the bridge between the ephemeral and the eternal.”
Olivia Q. Daane

Internationally recognized for her evocative butterfly series, Olivia Q. Daane creates paintings that capture the interplay of transformation, fragility, and resilience. Her work has been exhibited by prestigious galleries, including Opera Gallery Aspen and Manolis Projects in Miami, and is sought after by discerning collectors who recognize the rare fusion of technical mastery and emotional depth in her art.

A Vanderbilt University graduate, Olivia refined her craft through studies in Florence, Italy, and an apprenticeship with the renowned Paul Harmon. Her LIVASPENART STUDIO, founded in 2006, became a hub for artistic exploration, followed by the launch of LIVASPENART GALLERY in Aspen from 2011 to 2013.

Since debuting her butterfly series at Art Basel Miami in 2008, Olivia has remained captivated by their symbolism of metamorphosis, strength, and nature’s intricate design. Her recent works explore the ethereal qualities of water—its power, healing nature, and constant evolution—capturing the beauty of impermanence through a sophisticated interplay of color, gesture, and texture.

A full-time Aspenite since 1997, Olivia has been appointed to the U.S. State Department’s Global Solutions Committee, further solidifying her voice as both an artist and advocate. Her works are more than paintings; they are living narratives, visual meditations on change, and timeless investments in beauty and meaning.
